You shall have to spill the beans! How did he pop the big Q? Whats the Rock like?! Most importantly of ALL, when should I be looking to buy my Virtual Wedding Hat?!

The Boy proposed at 12:45 am on the ay back from his (surprise) birthday drinks out.

He thought I was taking him for dinner, so brought the ring to surprise me. He hadn't realised I was lying about the dinner and had arranged for a number of his friends to be waiting in a bar....

Huge amount of alcohol later, we start to leave town and as we are walking across the bridge that leads to our road, he got down on one knee. Ever so romantic!

Rock is GORGEOUS - boy done good!

Virtual wedding likely in 18 mths or so...! Although you've alerted me to the potentially misleading nature of my screen name post marriage!

*****AWWWW!!!!!*** Thats LOVELY!! *Sigh* I'm soooo happy for you both! (* VIGORULY shakes the pupillage fairy to get her to sprinkle some glitter over the happy couple* (tight COW that she is!) )

Right then, I am off to start trying on Virtual Hats! Whaddaya think, Fascinator or Classic Wedding Type Hat regaled with bows flowers obscene ammounts of netting and possibly one or two live turtle doves?!?

Congrats! Have you set a date?

No date as yet, but think perhaps 18 months. Definitely no longer than 2 years and probably note less than 1 year because of organisation....

Spring/summer 2010 it is, then. That's pretty much what me and the missus did, got engaged one winter and tied the knot in the summer 18 months later. Any idea if it's going to be a big, posh do or just a couple of pints down the local? For some reason I'm guessing it might be the former.

I like pomp, ceremony, ritual and being the centre of attention :)

I think that "good luck" is the polite thing to say rather than the weasley "congratulations". I'm sure that it's the future Mr Middle who deserves congratulating on having won such a brainy wife.

Good luck!

Hope that the other person has got off the phone by now...
